Safety & Policies

Campers must be checked in and out by an authorized adult each day. Families will receive specific drop-off and pickup instructions before their camper's first day.

For safety reasons, campers may not leave camp without an authorized adult completing the pickup process. Please plan to arrive on time for both drop-off and pickup.

During registration, families must provide a list of adults authorized to pick up their camper. Campers will only be released to individuals listed on their registration form. Anyone picking up a camper may be required to show a valid photo ID.

If you need to update your authorized pickup list, please notify Camp Cardinal staff in advance.

The safety and well-being of our campers is our highest priority. Campers are supervised by trained staff throughout the camp day, including during activities, transitions, meals, and outdoor play.

We maintain age-appropriate groups and provide a structured environment where campers can have fun while staying safe.

Camp Cardinal is committed to creating a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment where all campers feel safe and supported. Campers are expected to:

• Treat others with kindness and respect
• Follow staff directions
• Respect camp property and supplies
• Participate safely in activities

If a camper's behavior becomes unsafe or significantly disrupts the camp environment, families may be contacted to create a plan for support. In cases where a camper is unable to participate safely, dismissal may be required. Refunds will not be provided for behavior-related dismissals.

To help keep our campers and staff healthy, please keep your child home if they are sick or experiencing symptoms that may impact others. If a camper becomes ill during the camp day, we will contact their parent/guardian for pickup.

Refunds are not provided for missed camp days due to illness. At Camp Cardinal's discretion, families may be eligible for a future camp credit on a case-by-case basis.

Camp Cardinal has emergency procedures in place to help keep campers safe. In the event of an emergency, staff will follow established safety protocols and communicate with families as soon as possible.

Families should ensure all emergency contact information provided during registration is accurate and up to date.

If your camper requires medication during the camp day, parents/guardians must complete the required medication authorization forms. All medications must:

• Be provided by a parent/guardian
• Be in the original labeled container
• Include clear instructions

Camp staff will only administer medication as authorized.

Please provide all allergy information during registration. Families should clearly communicate:

• Allergies and severity
• Required precautions
• Emergency action plans (if applicable)

Camp Cardinal will make reasonable efforts to support campers with allergies; however, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

Camp Cardinal operates rain or shine. We plan activities that can be adjusted for different weather conditions and will prioritize camper safety at all times.

Weather-related schedule adjustments, modified activities, or closures outside of our control are not eligible for refunds.

If Camp Cardinal must cancel a session before it begins due to an emergency or circumstance outside of our control, families will be given the option of a refund or credit toward a future camp session.

Please arrive on time for pickup. If you are delayed, please contact Camp Cardinal as soon as possible.

A late pickup fee may apply for campers picked up after the designated pickup time. Continued late pickups may result in additional action to ensure appropriate staffing and supervision.

Our refund policy is based on the date written cancellation notice is received:

• 30+ days before the session begins: 100% refund of tuition paid
• 15–29 days before the session begins: 50% refund of tuition paid
• 14 days or less before the session begins: No refunds

Families may request a transfer to another available camp week if requested at least 14 days before the original session start date. Transfers are subject to availability.

A completed liability waiver is required for every camper before attending Camp Cardinal.

By registering, families acknowledge the inherent risks associated with camp activities and agree to the terms outlined in the waiver.

During camp activities, photos and videos may be taken to capture camper experiences and share highlights from Camp Cardinal.

Families may indicate their photo/media preferences during registration. We respect each family's choice regarding the use of camper images.

Camp Cardinal is designed for children ages 5–12 who are fully potty trained.

Campers must be able to independently use the restroom, manage clothing, and communicate their needs to staff. Staff are not able to provide diapering or toileting assistance.
